Cue2Walk is an innovative tool that effectively reduces freeze of gait for people with Parkinson's. Previously, setting up the device required specialists to visit on-site. To address this, we developed a companion app that guides users through the setup process with the ultimate goal to provide people with Parkinson's greater autonomy and optimize their freedom of movement.

People with Parkinson's
They rather spend more time using the app, than being overwhelmed with options
They require an intuitive and straightforward interface, featuring large buttons and clear instructions
Each person is unique, personalized settings are essential
To solve the complexity in technology and provide a user-friendly interface optimized for accessibility, we designed an app specifically for people with Parkinson's, who face significant physical and mental challenges. We ensured that every aspect of the app is easy to operate by making the buttons large and minimizing the number of options. The interface is stripped down to its essentials, allowing users to configure everything with minimal friction. The result is a simple-looking interface that shields users from complexity, making it easy and intuitive for them to use.
We developed an app using the Flutter framework to ensure compatibility with both iOS and Android platforms, enabling seamless integration with a hardware device via Bluetooth. Recognizing the challenges faced by individuals with Parkinson's disease, we prioritized creating an effortless and secure connection process. This allows users to easily connect their devices without technical difficulties, ensuring a smooth and accessible user experience. The use of Bluetooth technology ensures a reliable and wireless connection, while the cross-platform nature of Flutter provides a consistent and user-friendly interface across different devices.
To ensure everything aligns perfectly, we also focused on the brand identity of Cue2Walk. We captured their value and what resonates with people with Parkinson's in a brand manifesto. The core of this manifesto is "Step Confidence." The key insight here is that being able to move independently is essential for the feeling of freedom. Soft colors, rounded shapes, and fluid movements are central to all brand expressions. This creates a perfect balance between humanity and expertise, which is felt in every interaction with Cue2Walk.
People with Parkinson's disease experience significant physical and cognitive challenges in daily life. In order to empower these people with our smart technology we needed to make the application as intuitive and straight forward as possible. TodayTomorrow guided us through this challenging process, supporting us in both the practical and the strategic decision making. With a superb end result.
